Learn more in our Employee Spotlight series to discover the remarkable stories and contributions of our team members at Florida Dermatology Specialists. This month, we're thrilled to highlight Robin Bender, our outstanding practice administrator.

Can you share a bit about your background and how you got into dermatology or practice administration?

I have been in practice administration for quite a while.  I enjoy helping people bring out the best of themselves to help companies achieve their goals.  I believe it to be an honor to lead people and help create something of quality.

What motivates you to do your best work?

Doing what is best for our patients and our staff.  I want to help create a company where people proudly say they work and find longevity with us.

What advice would you give to someone considering a career in dermatology or managing a practice?

In my development as an administrator, I find you need to be able to connect in some way with people.  When you do it is amazing the synergy that happens.  My advice is to never stop developing your intrapersonal skills.

Could you share a skin care tip that you believe everyone should know for healthier skin?

I would have to say sunscreen every time you go out and stay hydrated.

What hobbies or activities do you enjoy outside of work?

Live theater - whether with a professional troup, high school drama club or a “bless their heart” local theater - there is a ton of local talent.

Question from Alyssa: What do you think sets FDS apart from other offices?

That’s easy - all of us.  We are awesome!  The friendliness, the connections with our patients and the diagnostic expertise of all our providers are superior to any other office.

One question you’d like to ask the next employee that is highlighted:

Using 1 word - how do you see the future of FDS and why did you choose that word?
