What is Botox® Treatment Like?
Botox® is a simple injectable treatment conveniently performed in our office. No anesthetic is required, but we offer a topical numbing gel to help minimize any discomfort from the injection process. To perform the treatment, Botox® will be injected into and around the muscles that are causing facial wrinkles. The exact number and location of these injections will depend on the wrinkles being addressed and on your individual anatomy. These injections take only a few minutes to perform, after which the treatment will be complete.

Is There Any Downtime After Botox®?
There is no real downtime required after Botox® injection, but we do ask for patients to not lie down, exercise, or massage the injected areas for four hours after treatment. Patients can expect some minor redness, swelling and/or bruising in the treatment area as a result of the injections. These side effects typically fade within a few days.
What Results Can I Expect from Botox®?
Botox® takes a few days to take effect in the body. Patients can generally expect to start noticing results within a few days, with the full results visible approximately two weeks after treatment. Botox® produces results that last 3-4 months, after which time patients can receive additional treatments to maintain their results.
